Is it right to alter a baby's body without medical need?

Circumcision according to Jewish tradition elevates the soul with he symbolic certification that says "I am a Jew". As Jews we understand that our role in this world is to elevate the mundane and to make it holy. This concept certainly applies to our own physical desires.

A Bris is a constant reminder that the Torah family values and physical relationships should be taken seriously and thus made holy. The Bris signifies loyalty, responsibility, and family purity.

Only a proper Bris performed by an Orthodox Mohel can accomplish these ideals.
